Our Story
Founded by Omer Bozdag, CurrencyMate was created to solve a simple problem: Canadians were paying too much for foreign exchange. Banks embed hidden margins in their exchange rates, costing businesses and individuals thousands on every transaction.
Omer has spent nearly a decade in FX and global payments across Canada, Australia and the United States, working directly with importers, exporters, technology firms, and private clients. CurrencyMate applies that institutional experience to Canadian businesses and individuals who have historically been underserved by both banks and generic online platforms.
